Ms. C. Evans March 1, 2010 at 9:15 am: This item did not work very well at all. It was not even showing the beef as being rare, and it was well done indeed !! I had to stick it in a pan of boiling vegetables to make sure it was working, and that the temp got to over the halfway point !!

Suggested to several other people and all found the same it allows you to cook a joint just they way you want with no guess work.
