I have some friends who use block heaters and I can remember, in Montreal my dad using one!

The furnace runs almost continuously with that kind of outside temperature!

Cold is gone (pretty much) Thanks!

yoyomax12 March 3, 2010 at 6:27 pm

It’s hard to avoid the colds when there are so many people around you with it!

yoyomax12 March 3, 2010 at 7:07 pm

I have thanks

yoyomax12 March 3, 2010 at 7:43 pm

Cold is now gone and the temperature has warmed up a tiny bit.
Thanks Gigi

Very cold air doesn’t have the ability to hold a lot of humidity. Any humidity in the air immediately condenses and becomes water droplets in the form of fog. There was also very little wind so it was sort of hanging there. It was like fog, rather than smoke, so no smell!

What your son said to you was so sweet and hope you feel better soon! :)

And Wow -41! It must be difficult to keep the house warm with that kind of outside temperature!

Hope you are feeling better quickly. That’s the worse thing about this time of year. No matter what you can’t get away from getting a cold. Ah that is a very sweet thing of Max to say. It would seem you are doing a wonderful job at raising a compassionate soul in this world. :)

sewsweet08 March 3, 2010 at 8:29 pm

oh get better soon

ABQdoubleG March 3, 2010 at 9:21 pm

I hope you are feeling better very soon :)
I have never been in temperatures that cold, brrr. Looks like you have done a great job parenting, that Maxium, he is a very caring person and he has a great sense of humor.

I say tissues but I do say Bandaids. A lot of people say Kleenex here too. I’m late watching this video. You sounded much better in your cookie video but I could tell you still had a cold… or what was left of one.

That is way too cold for anything. Does the fog smell funny? I mean since you say it’s mainly from heat source exhaust. And I thought -22°F was cold.

Max is a special kid. You and Mots done good. Stay warm!

yoyomax12 March 3, 2010 at 10:22 pm

Much better now Jenn, thanks.
I had the impression we (Canadians) were the only ones that called all brands of tissue Kleenex, learned something new.
You’d put on an extra sweater, just like we do, lol.

Oh, Tammy. I am so sorry you got sick. I so hope you are feeling better now. We call them kleenex, too. Regardless of the brand. Not sure why.
Oh, what a sweet boy. Kids say the nicest things, so sincere and honest. I love it.
I couldn’t survive in those temps. I know it. I am too weak. take care – jenn

Me too! I get a flu shot every year so usually IF I catch a cold it doesn’t last long. Since I have Asthma I usually have to have breathing treatments since it settles in my chest. Hoping for a short lived cold.

yoyomax12 March 3, 2010 at 11:53 pm

The one I had only lasted 4-5 days, hope yours is short too. :)

Jinxie228 March 4, 2010 at 12:40 am

I woke up Sunday morning – feeling a bit sick. I officially have a cold, hope that it won’t be long. I feel horrible now.. its fast acting. Awe bless his heart for wanting your cold! That weather reminds me of Maine! brrr

You know I’ve always thought that when Max was sick (that I wished I could take it from him, especially when he was really sick as a baby) but I’ve never said it out loud. That made it all the more special when he came out with it on his own. Thanks Irene.

Max is soooo great. I tell my kids that when they are sick. My grandma used to say that to us. What a wonderful son you have.
Oh my that is cold. I am COLD just thinking bout it. :) Max

mysteryglo March 4, 2010 at 2:48 am

yoyomax12 March 4, 2010 at 3:06 am

Max is a sweet kid, I feel lucky to have him.
I feel 100% better today!

Thanks Dolores.

yoyomax12 March 4, 2010 at 4:18 am

Feel much better today Lizzie and the cold has let up a bit. I couldn’t be prouder of Max, he really is turning into a wonderful human being.

yoyomax12 March 4, 2010 at 4:48 am

I miss the green in the winter here too, but you are right the white does have it’s own beauty. (A really cold beauty)

yoyomax12 March 4, 2010 at 5:42 am

How great that you made the panda! I’m sure that your granddaughter will love it, it is really cute.
I really thought that kleenex was something that only we used as a generic name for tissue, learn new things every day on YT!
