Coconut, Fixin’s, and Wok n Roll

by admin on July 31, 2010

Big Bear Ron This was my first time using coconut like this in a stir fry. I was very pleased with the results, but I made so much I had left overs to use in quesadillas (darn it!) the next day (I smell a video coming). I am sure that you are a great cook! I really like the Julia Child touch when your take food to the dining table and pour yourself a glass of wine. Bon appetite!

It’s inexpensive. Get it already smoked. Slice thin and trim away a bit of the fat and cook like bacon till most of the remaining fat is cooked out. Drain, and enjoy.

I sliced the smoked jawl thin and fried out most of the fat. It turned out much like bacon in texture and flavor.

Interesting combination of things for a stir fry. I may try a few of those. Thanks for the ideas,
