Thrift store cleared to reopen following mercury spill
The Salvation Army store on Ford Road in Garden City is expected to reopen today after being closed Monday after a small amount of mercury was found in the parking lot. Officials still don’t know how the liquid, estimated at about two tablespoon fulls, ended up in the lot.
