I wouldn’t describe it as Highly Accurate as it registered 0.5 degree less than the conventional mercury thermometer. However it would probably show a fever in an emergency. Also came in packaging showing it was for a baby.

I will need this in the advent of swine flu as an indicator of the extent to which I might have been infected. It is very cheap, seems to be very accurate and very rapid in response

Received this thermometer from amazon. It seems accurate, and is easy to use. Press the button when ready to read, it beeps and stops flashing when it’s done. Takes 15 to 30 seconds.
Couple of small quibbles.
1) The bottom strip of the digital readout is not working on mine. So, it’s still readable, as you can tell the difference between all the numbers with the bottom section missing… if it was the top, there would be a bigger problem, between the number 7 and 1 for example.
2) The one I received has the words BABY imblazoned on it for some reason. Packaging also had a photo of a baby on it. Makes no difference to the operation of it I’m sure, just not quite what I ordered.

Excellent customer service, delivery was quicker than expected. My purchase was actually upgraded to a superior product at no extra cost. Have used the thermometer many times and get a quick and accurate reading. I was really pleased to find and receive the item so quickly, as I had trawled all the high street chemists to no avail!
